IIT Madras and IIT Madras Alumni Association (IITMAA) are committed to preserving the privacy of alumni and friends. This site has password-protected, secure areas which enable alumni and friends to connect with each other.

Services included are: the Central Alumni Directory, maintained by the Office of Alumni Affairs (OAA), IIT Madras and shared with IITMAA for updating and submitting contact and other information; registration for alumni e-mail address, provided by OAA; My Profile pages and IITMAA Community interaction facilities on the IITMAA website via e-mail lists, batch, chapter, and other Special Interest Groups or networks; IITMAA Community forums, bulletin boards, and chat, multi-media gallery; the IITMAA Resource Center Network, the IITMAA Volunteer Network, the online Alumni store, and other alumni benefits as mentioned on the website at www.iitmaa.org, or other IITMAA approved Universal Resource locators (URLs) on the web.

The Central Alumni Directory offers the ability for all alumni to suppress publication of their data on a field-by-field basis except for first name, last name, IIT Madras degree(s), branch, and degree year(s).

The information on this site will not be used for any commercial or philanthropic purpose not directly connected with or approved by IIT Madras and/or the IITMAA; nor will copies be made; nor will the original information or facsimile be given, lent, or sold to any other individual or organization.

The use of cookies is limited to store an active login session to enhance the experience of the visitor who goes back and forth between the public and the private, password-protected area of the site. We do not store personal preferences, personal information or pages visited on the site in cookies.

When an alum or friend subscribes to an e-mail list or provides an e-mail address for other purposes, his or her e-mail address is recorded. That address is used for sending out future mailings via e-mail. That address may also be used for general IIT Madras and/or IIT Madras Alumni Association announcements.
