Alumni Affairs Secretary: Chinmay Deodhar (nickname: hypo)

• What's he studying:
  I'm doing my 3rd year, B-Tech in Engineering Design (new branch), with M-Tech in Automotive Engineering (Dual Degree).
  
• What he does:
  I am very interested in cars, and would love to have a career in the automobile industry. Presently I am working with 10 other students on a project which aims at converting one of IIT's electric buses into diesel electric series hybrids. We started research last year, and began actual fabrication in the first week of July. We hope to finish the prototype within a week's time.
• What's his Job/Role as the Alumni Affairs Secretary of Ganga

• What he expects to do:  
  As Alumni Affairs Secretary of Jamuna is to spread the word and get more alumni get involved with the hostel.
• His perception of Alumni and the Value of Alumni Student Interaction:
  Most students really value the interaction with alumni when they come visit the hostel. We are very curious about the outside world, especially from an IITian's perspective, how things were different when the visiting alumnus was in IIT, and stuff like that. Similarly, the visiting alumni are also very interested in knowing how the hostel changed over the years since they graduated.
  
• What he would like to see happen in the the Alumni Association:
  I thank you for inviting me for this interactive session. I hope this increases the interaction between the alumni and the present student community. Looking forward to the meeting.
