What is the IITMAA Career Resource Center’s Goal?
..To prepare you to be a great professional in any career that you choose and when you choose irrespective of whether you are an alumnus or a student, whether you're looking for a job right after graduation or pursuing graduate studies in India or abroad, whether you're seeking a change for a better job or have just lost your job and are looking for a new job.
We want to be the resource that provides you access to such opportunities, matching your profile with resource centers that respond to needs. We want to be able to provide the resources for the right training to develop the skill sets necessary to help you get that job you want at any stage in your professional life. Continuing to upgrade our skill sets is the key to getting that great job you are after.
IITMAA has been offering such workshops in the past, perhaps not very well coordinated or well-advertised. From the Chennai side, it has largely been one man’s passion and drive. Ramesh Narasimhan (1973 IITM) has been running mock interviews with the help of industry participants for some time now and students have found it extremely valuable. In fact, there is one coming up soon and will be posted on this website, so stay tuned.
So what is the value proposition, what are we looking for, and what can we provide? Suprisingly enough, we find we are looking for the same thing, whether we are Alumni or Students, and we believe we can help one another to provide value to each other.
