Reflections By IITians - A Book Authored by 36 Alumni from Five IIT's Published by 
Ram Krishnaswamy, IIT Madras Alumnus 1970 batch will be launched by Dr. Anil Kakodkar at the PANIIT - Inaugural session on 19th Dec 2008 at 11:30 am.

The Book "Reflections by IITians" launched at the PAN IIT meet is now available at the IITMAA office in Campus.
The Book retails at Rs 450/- outside and will be available to Alumni and students for Rs 350/-.
Please also note that the proceeds of this book goes to 'JEEVODAYA' a hospice for Cancer Patients in Chennai.
'JEEVODAYA' is non profit, non religious and non political charitable Organizations and all services at 'JEEVODAYA' are rendered free of cost to all patients.

It gives me great joy and pleasure to officially announce the publication of the book “Reflections by IITians”, authored by thirty six alumni from all Indian Institutes of Technology all over the world young and old including our ever popular Guru Prof. Indiresan, Ex Director of IIT Madras and retired Faculty from IITD.

"Reflections by IITians" the book will be officially launched by Dr. Anil Kakodkar, Chairman Atomic Energy Commission and Chairman of the Board of Governors of IIT Bombay and a panel of IIT Directors, at the inaugural session of the PanIIT 2008 meet on 19th December 2008 at 11.30am"

While I know all 36 authors well, I have not met 20 of them ever. I got to know these special people all through the internet.

Such is the power of the PanIIT, IIT Global, IIT Madras, InterIIT, IITAAA Yahoo Groups, Google Groups & Linked-in networks. The existence of 1742 IIT related Yahoo groups alone bears testimony to the power of IIT networks.

The central theme of PanIIT 2008 is GIVING BACK to India and the profits generated by sale of Reflections by IITians will go to JEEVODAYA , a hospice for Terminally ill destitute cancer patients.
I salute all authors for putting pen to paper to share their journeys for a good cause such as this. May their tribe increase

Copies of Reflections by IITians will be available for sale after the launch at the PanIIT-2008 meet on 19th December 2008 Books can be purchased at the meet or on line.

Profit from every book that is bought will go towards assisting a cancer patient to die with dignity.
